Globe Environments is very pleased to announce Commonwealth Government approval has been granted for Covalent Lithium’s Earl Grey Lithium Project Revised Proposal.
Globe Environments, in partnership with Covalent Lithium and Strategen-JBS&G, submitted a variation request under s143 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (C’th) to vary the conditions of the previously approved project so as to allow for the components of the Revised Proposal to be implemented. The Revised Proposal involves a minor expansion, plus multiple operational changes to the existing operations.
The EPBC approval was completed in < 6 months from submission to approval – the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) should be congratulated on their very fast turn-around of this assessment. From our experience, the DAWE assessment sets the ‘gold-standard’ in Government efficiency and focus in environmental assessment.
